NCAA Next 26 Beta V4.0 Update Is Available Now
This update includes an up-to-date college football roster and several other key changes/fixes:
- Week 1 Roster ported from College Football 26 but with several updates to align with NCAA 06 Gameplay. This roster now only includes 18 fake players (still ported from CFB26) which are 15 punters and 3 kickers.
- A new Player Rating overall weighted system to progress more balanced across positions and to improve recruiting variability - developed with help of AI Tools -- There's a ton of histograms for stat nerds in the Beta Thread for your viewing pleasure!
- A brand new College Football Playoff ranking system formula that strips down to the basics: focusing on Wins, Losses, Strength of Schedule, and Team Rating. There are no double or triple bias of prestige stacked on each other for this ranking list. The AP/Coach poll remains the same.
- Updated Playoff Ranking display page with more useful information
- Fix to in-game dynasty coach editor, which had gotten partially broken during the beta series.
- Addition of an additional League Format that puts Notre Dame as an Independent, but still retains an 5-6 game ACC rotating schedule. This also means the ACC now has a 17-team structure with 8-game conference rotation schedule.
- This is the most realistic option for the 2026 realignment year! The default setup has Notre Dame in the ACC.
Texture Updates:
- Oregon and Ohio State fields updated
- In-Game Pre-Snap Player Composure/Ability icons updated
- Composure Icon updated/reverted back to original icon

Compatibility Notes:
- There are very limited amount of texture updates for this mod. Please use Texture Downloader App if you can to save time!
- Make sure you reset rosters in System Settings or remove any roster from memory card to get the latest roster set
- Beta 3+ saves will work with the DEFAULT league setup.
- Next 25 and Beta1/2 saves are NOT compatible and require a new save.
- The ND as Independent option also requires a new save!
